Christmas Celebration

Every year, the festive spirit of Christmas fills the corridors and classrooms of with warmth and joy. As the campus adorned with twinkling lights and colorful decorations, students and faculty alike come together to celebrate this cherished occasion. From vibrant Christmas trees to melodious carol singing echoing through the halls, the spirit of togetherness and camaraderie envelops the entire campus.


World Environment Day

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the NSS Unit of DIATM organized a special event on June 5, 2023, to raise awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable practices. The event aimed to mobilize the students of DIATM to actively contribute to the protection and preservation of the environment. The event commenced with a tree plantation awareness within the DIATM campus. Students actively participated in planting saplings, promoting the importance of afforestation for a greener and healthier environment. The informative sessions aimed to equip students with knowledge and skills to make informed choices in their daily lives to reduce their ecological footprint.


Rabindra Jayanti

On May 8, 2023, the vibrant cultural diversity at DIATM came to life as students gathered to celebrate Rabindra Jayanti, the birth anniversary of the legendary poet, philosopher, and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The event, organized by the DIATM Club ROCA, paid homage to Tagore’s contributions to literature, music, and art. The celebration commenced with an inaugural ceremony that included lighting the ceremonial lamp and paying floral tributes to Rabindranath Tagore. Faculty members, students, and distinguished guests shared their thoughts on Tagore’s legacy and its enduring impact on literature and culture. A variety of musical performances featuring Rabindra Sangeet, Tagore’s own compositions, and other cultural melodies were presented by students. Dance enthusiasts added a dynamic element to the celebration with traditional and contemporary dance recitals inspired by Tagore’s works.


Earth Day

On April 21, 2023, the students of DIATM came together to celebrate Earth Day, demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability and raising awareness about the importance of protecting our planet. Organized by the DIATM, the event aimed to inspire a sense of environmental responsibility and encourage sustainable practices among the student community. A campus clean- up campaign was initiated, with students and faculty members coming together to clean designated areas. The campaign aimed to address the issue of litter and waste within the campus, promoting the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment for all. The Environmental Club organized awareness campaigns throughout the day, disseminating information on environmental challenges and solutions.

Swami Vivekananda’s Birthday

On January 12, 2023, the student community at DIATM came together to celebrate the birthday of one of India’s greatest spiritual leaders and thinkers, Swami Vivekananda. The event aimed to honour his teachings, philosophy, and vision for youth empowerment, education, and spiritual growth. The celebration began with inspirational talks and discussions centred around Swami Vivekananda’s life, teachings, and philosophy. Faculty members and students shared insights on the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s messages in the contemporary world, emphasizing the importance of self-realization, discipline, and service to humanity In alignment with Swami Vivekananda’s emphasis on the holistic development of individuals, meditation and yoga sessions were organized. Students participated in these sessions to experience the benefits of mindfulness, inner peace.


Innovate, Create, Engineer: National Engineer’s Day

The celebration commenced with an inaugural ceremony, where faculty members, engineering professionals, and distinguished guests shared their insights on the significance of National Engineers Day. The event began with the lighting of the lamp and a tribute to Sir M. Visvesvaraya’s contributions to the field of engineering. To foster personality development among students, a group discussion was conducted. Teams of students were given specific topic to solve within a defined time frame. The competition encouraged collaborative thinking, strategic planning, and the application of engineering principles to real-world scenarios. The National Engineers Day celebration at DIATM was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and enthusiasm among the engineering community.


Campus Cleaning

The students celebrated Swachh Bharat Mission in the college premises. The college campus was cleaned by the students, the cleaning of polythene bags, collecting dirty materials and fencing around the plant plantation site and the wastage was dispersed in to the dumping yard. The students also cleaned the playground which was partially covered with unnecessary plants. The students also watered the plants. Various cleanliness and hygienic aspects were discussed in the one day seminar. Many speakers talked about this mission and how it is important? The speaker highlighted the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India about Swachh Bharat Mission. He also explained about Mahatma Gandhiji’s dream of a clean India. He also told cleanliness is required to live healthy, as Cleanliness is equal to Godliness. Competition on poster presentation was also organized on the theme of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.


Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

On the auspicious occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, the NSS Unit of DIATM organized an educational trip to Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, themed “Har Ghar Tiranga.” The students participated in this patriotic and educational excursion, aiming to instill a deeper understanding of India’s rich history, cultural heritage, and the significance of the tricolor. The students had the privilege of exploring an exhibition dedicated to the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, showcasing the milestones and sacrifices that led to India’s independence. The exhibition featured historical artifacts, documents, and multimedia presentations that provided a comprehensive overview of the freedom struggle. As part of the event’s theme, “Har Ghar Tiranga,” the NSS Unit initiated a campaign to distribute national flags to households in the surrounding areas.


International Yoga Day

The International Yoga Day celebration by DIATM Engineering students was a resounding success. The event was a testament to the students’ commitment to a holistic approach to education and well-being. Such celebrations contribute to the overall development of students and reinforce the importance of a healthy and balanced lifestyle in their academic journey. This annual event promotes the practice of yoga to enhance physical and mental well-being. On the morning of June 21, 2022, the students of DIATM gathered at the college campus to mark this day with various yoga activities. The event commenced with a yoga session led by a certified yoga instructor. The students participated in an hour-long yoga session, which included various asanas and breathing exercises. The session emphasized the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and relieving stress, especially in the demanding environment of engineering studies. Following the yoga session, a guided meditation and mindfulness session was conducted to help students relax, focus, and reduce anxiety. This part of the program received a positive response from the attendees.


Blood Donation Camp

A blood donation camp organized by a group of enthusiastic engineering students of DIATM took place on 07-06-2022 at college premises, in in association with GDNA. This event aimed to demonstrate the commitment of young minds to the community’s well-being and make a significant contribution to local healthcare. The engineering students, along with their faculty advisors, devoted considerable time and effort to organize this event effectively. The planning phase involved securing a suitable venue, acquiring necessary equipment and supplies, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and garnering support from local sponsors.


Gender Equality and Empowerment of
Women and Girls

Gender equality is a fundamental human right and a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world. Empowering women and girls are not only morally imperative but also essential for societal and economic progress.

This seminar was aimed to:

a) Discuss the importance of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.

b) Examine the progress made globally and regionally.

c) Identify key challenges and barriers.

d) Offer recommendations to promote gender equality and female empowerment.

The speaker explained the multifaceted dimensions of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls and discussed the significance of this critical issue. She said that the gender equality fosters economic growth and poverty reduction and encouraged female entrepreneurship. Our Principal sir said that while significant strides have been made, challenges persist and it is imperative that governments, civil society, and individuals should work together to address these issues, eliminate discrimination, and create a more equitable world.


Tree Plantation in DIATM Campus

On 10th February, 2022, our college successfully completed the event of Tree Plantation under the National Service Scheme (NSS) at college campus. Trees are the foremost source for producing the oxygen in environment, they helps to reduce the level of CO2. As we all know that the whole world is facing the problem of global warming and to recover from such problem planting the trees is become one of the most important aspects today. Our NSS officer orients the NSS volunteers by notifying the importance of NSS for them as well as society. He shared his past experiences with volunteers that how he got the success through NSS and what difficulties he faced while performing his role as Programme Officer. He said that “In society all the human beings are comprise equal importance, no matter with the Men or Women.” He also said that the dedication is must to accomplish the goals and dreams in life. The event was begun with the welcome speech by the Principal sir. At that time Principal advised the volunteers to think differently for the society, to make positive changes and to make improvement.


A Motivational Lecture Session on GITA
Panacea of Modern Youth Problems

Swami Jnanivarananda began by providing an overview of the Bhagavad Gita, one of the most important texts in Hindu philosophy. The speaker highlighted the challenges faced by modern youth, including stress, anxiety, career pressures, and relationship issues and addressed these problems from a holistic perspective. Swami Japayajnananda provided practical advice on incorporating Gita principles into daily life, including meditation, mindfulness, and ethical living. He explained how the teachings of the Gita can offer practical solutions to contemporary issues and discussed concepts such as self-realization, duty (dharma), and detachment as tools for personal growth and problem-solving. The participants found the session to be both informative and motivating, with a renewed interest in exploring the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita further. A lively Q&A session allowed participants to seek clarifications and gain deeper insights into the Gita’s teachings. The organizer expressed a commitment to continue hosting similar seminars related to spirituality and personal development.
