About the Department
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in 2002 and offers UG and PG programs. As a B. Tech Electronics Engineering College in Durgapur, West Bengal, DIATM’s ECE department focuses on a rapidly evolving field where new ideas emerge constantly. From mobile phones to fiber optics and remote sensing, there are exciting avenues to explore and create. The department prepares students for careers in this dynamic discipline with well-equipped labs and ample computing resources. With strong industry demand and excellent placement opportunities, the department stands tall. Our students are not only academically sound and disciplined but also actively organize events like ROCA, YODDHA, and other club activities to showcase their talents across technical, non-technical, and cultural platforms. Our main recruiters include Infosys, Cognizant, HCL, Genpact, Ericsson, Mphasis, IBM, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS, and Tata Steel.

The Department attempts to provide their students an attractive curriculum which completely meets the latest technology needs and developments. The available diversity of expertise of the faculty prepares the students to work in global multicultural environment.
The Department not only aims to make our students technically sound and knowledgeable but also to nurture their wisdom and make them a better and responsible human being. I believe that my team consisting of ECE students, staff and faculty is capable of doing wonders. We hope that we will continue to deliver our best to serve the society and mankind. It is also expected that our students will continue to pass-on the skills which they have developed during their stay at this department to whole of the world for a better society.
