In recent year the Electronics & Communication Engineering plays an important role to tackle the spontaneous process of information explosion. For ever changing satellite communication, fiber optic communication, mobile communication and so on, the ultimate solution can be obtained through this branch of engineering.

Establish in 2002 in the rural environment of Rajbandh, the DIATM is now a premiere Institution in the Durgapur-Panagarh belt, offering at present the B.Tech degree under WBUT with an intake of 90 students. The mission of the department is to provide the technically advanced academic atmosphere to its students so that they can be well fitted in the changing scenery of the communication world. The vision of the department is established liaison between the similar types of institution so that both our faculties and students can have strong tide with door enhancing learning and the knowing the process.
Faculty: The department has a good blend and well qualified teachers capable of imparting the state of the art of Electronics to their peoples.

All India Seminar

Innovative Project Design by 2nd year students

The laboratory facility available in electronics department of DIATM is also admirable. There is a huge collection of instruments like CRO, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer and many more of various types of instrument of Electronics & Communication Engineering. There is also a ready supply of electronics related journals and magazines. The department has a departmental library facility where each student has the access of books for each subject as per requirement. Apart from these book bank facilities are given from Central Library of DIATM.Students are the biggest asset of our department. The success rate of ECE students in this college is exceptionally high due to validate their theoretical knowledge with practical data. They have a huge opportunity to develop their own idea into practicability with the help of provided laboratory facilities as well as software and hardware.

Rahul Kumar Poddar

Year: 2007 – 2011 B.TECH ECE

Hi myself Rahul Poddar, currently working for TCS, Kolkata as an IT Analyst. I did my B.Tech ECE from DIATM, Rajbandh. I started my academics theirs with Chemical Engg. but later on, I moved to ECE department. Really 1st year of the college is memorable. It was totally a new experience of life. The college schedule, college uniform, college faculties, new friends that I made there, K1 & K3 hostel life and the canteen food etc. all have played a significant role in my life. What I am today is because of the learning I got from my school & college. Specially I would like to thank some of the faculties like Gopinath Sir, Kuntia Sir (HOD ECE then), Samser Sir, Kabi Mam, Ardhendhu Sir, Niyogy Sir, PK Sinha Sir, DK Banerjee Sir etc. whom as of now I can remember the names and also to those which I can relate with the face but not remembering the names and lastly the hostel supervisors' 🙂
I got my placement from the college itself. I was first posted in TCS, Pune and then, later on, I shifted to TCS, Kolkata. Currently, I am working in Information Security area for GE client. Previously I have worked on .NET technologies with different clients. I hope I will take my learning which I got from school & college towards my growth and become a good citizen of the country. Thanks to everyone for their support.

Munna Kumar Gupta

Year: 2011 – 2015 B.TECH ECE

With reference to ALUMNI ECE, DIATM Experience It is my privilege to share my nice experience of four years at DIATM. I was in ECE dept. batch 2011-15 batch. Currently, I am working with TCS, Kolkata as an Asst. System Engineer. Regarding my academic life here in those 4 years, I learned my course subject in depth but as my interest was towards software field so I was more interested in those papers. Faculty members were highly co-operative, learned and ever ready to solve students problem anytime. ECE stream has a lot of benefits as one have opportunities in both CORE as well as in IT industry. What to say about Hostel life!! It was most memorable days and night at K1 to K3. The food was good and hygienic. Sports, Gym and recreational facilities were also nice. 24x7 Medical help is also available for students.

Sreeleena Banerjee

Year: 2010 – 2014, B.TECH ECE
Organization: Tech Mahindra Limited

“If you’re interested in exploring Electronics and Communication Engineering, and hate being coddled, intellectually or otherwise, DIATM will make you feel right at home.
The department consists of excellent teaching staff who have been very helpful with the projects and assignments despite stringent deadlines.
The ECE HOD, Syed Samser Ali (2010-2014), has always been around to keep up the spirit of the entire department. We learned how to balance academics and extra-curricular activities perfectly. And, Individual attention was given to every student.

Currently, a significant percentage of students are working with top MNCs (off-campus recruitments included) all over the country.
Though the college is not centrally located in the city of Durgapur, it has got quite an urban, yet lush green campus. Connectivity might be an issue at times.
If you feel that you are willing to accept the challenges and devote yourself to the advancement of your career, coming to DIATM is a decision you will never regret. Good Luck!”

Subham Sinha

Hi readers, This is SUBHAM SINHA 0f 2012 batch and I would recommend this college for all the ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING lovers. The Experiment culture is pretty decent. The exposure that DIATM gives will definitely improve the overall personality of the student. The placements are pretty cool for ECE students highest package of nearly Rs.6 Lakhs. The average package for all the branches included is nearly Rs.2.5 Lakhs. The fee is also quite low but you will enjoy facilities that are excellent. Faculty at DIATM Especially of ECE BRANCH are excellent and supportive with all the professors from IIT’s, NIT’s. The exposure given to the girls at DIATM is also good. College is progressing to improve itself. If you couldn't get to any of the IIT or any of the top notch NIT's then this college will be an excellent decision. DIATM organizes few of the most amazing fest in the Campus annually like SCIMANTK, SAMMAN Etc. in which there is huge participation from many Students of our campus.

Fare well
